The level of exhausting was…well…ermmmm…Nick found me under blankets on the couch by 6 ok because Zoom fatigue is real!

Is wonderful because you go to the pond to feed the ducks who are full. But not the fish! (Impossible to see?)


I’m very late on posting my mid-August wonders because it’s been hectic. Lesson planning for online teaching (technical writing), leading orientation for the Writing Center, planning events for the Creative Writers. But I did something fun with some other writers and hosted a 7 day giveaway! I gave away Wild Game. 😘

Liam had a scavenger hunt on his birthday morning. #4! How wonderful is that? In this box was a big LEGO set!! Still finding wonder amongst birthday parties, amidst the pandemic and all.

In the *bug house* —- then immediately let it go. It was scared, we could tell.

This may seem like a low brow wonder. But dang, is it not wonderful when an impromptu recipe tastes divine? This was chicken thighs with purple onion, pineapple (and the juice from a can), rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, dash of olive oil, splash of soy sauce, drizzle of BBQ sauce, spices, and who knows what else? Take the chicken out when it is done. Then thicken the sauce in the crockpot with corn starch. Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli!
