She sent me these photos, and I found them enchanting. They made me feel she was being hugged, loved, even though I could not be there with her, on her special day. She sees birthdays like New Years. A celebration of new beginnings. I bless her with so much good.

Into the PhD. It’s a wonder to last this long. To think, 13 years ago, I dropped out of undergrad, never knowing if I would return. Now, almost done with coursework. A miracle and blessing!
Also blue light glasses work wonders on Zoom headaches.
We found a little lake by our house and experienced divine wonder of floating and summing in the fresh water. We have been cooped up, alone, forever it feels like. Floating, a taste of freedom.
An interesting turn of events. We haven’t had haircuts since March. Who knows if Covid didn’t happen, if Nick would ever attempt the glorious and illustrious man bun?
This little dude lives in the stump in our front yard. Alone! And joyfully so.
Ignites a salivating type of wonder. This was peak exhaustion during orientation week, and Nick, best husband, delivered this meal.
One day this photo may be in a history book. This is my mom, holding a new human, 3 days old.
How is it? You give a dog a bath, immediately, the next day, they find a random mud secretion, dig, and therefore need another bath. The joy of puppyhood!
