The wonder in a dog’s mind is fascinating, about running through wet, muddy puddles.
Someone called it the “500 year storm.” Damage was like that of a hurricane. Broken trees everywhere. No one has seen an ice storm so bad this early in the year.
B found his old mat toys. He sometimes fell asleep under these as a baby. One night he asked to fall asleep here again, as a 3 year old. We carried him to bed after a bit, but it was so sweet to witness.
We have been avoiding parks for the most part due to the coronavirus. But on this day we brought B to a local elementary school to play. And I cried some tears of joy seeing him so happy.
I’m the president of the Creative Writers Association at school, and we hosted our first writer. There was a delightful wonder about experiencing community in the pandemic.
